Job Duties::

As a SR HR Coordinator working on the HR team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. A typical day for you will include:

  • Maintaining monitoring for administering leaves for all employees under scope of responsibility; accurately monitoring FMLA utilization and payment of disability benefits from insurers and payroll.

  • Via front line contact with employees, advising Human Resources management of possible ADA accommodation issues.

  • In collaboration with other members of the HR Team, reviewing and improving existing leave policies and practices.

  • Serving as the primary Attendance Administrator by ensuring that the data for processing attendance represents an accurate population and ensures timely and accurate transmission of data to Corporate Payroll; resolving any discrepancies by working with managers supervisors and attendance contacts to update and maintain changes to system.

  • Where necessary, working with third party providers to resolve system issues and implement enhancements and systems changes.

  • Communicating regularly with payroll regarding weekly transmission.

  • Training and providing support to all attendance contacts and managers.

  • Assisting with Worker's Compensation claims and accident reports for all employees under scope of responsibility.

  • May work with carrier to investigate questionable claims, correct discrepancies and provide additional information.

  • Providing process improvement recommendations.

  • Working with supervisor and employee to ensure work restrictions are adhered to.

  • May partner with EHS&F personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • May participate on the local Safety Committee to assist with the development and enforcement of good safety standards and procedures.

  • Facilitating and scheduling all aspects of New Hire Orientation.

  • Working with HR Team to continuously update revise New Hire Orientation materials to ensure that they are current and that they reflect current Corporate initiatives.

  • Preparing new hire paperwork, benefits packets, various policy forms and I-9 verification.

  • Creating and maintain individual employee files.

  • Owning all HR components of employee badge administration.

  • Administering termination process including, but not limited to, completing forms, preparing termination letter where applicable, ensuring the scheduling of exit interviews, and coordinating final payroll.

  • Conducting exit interviews in absence of HR Management.

  • Gathering appropriate information as is required, and submits to the appropriate state unemployment office within established timelines.

  • Serving as primary point of contact at location for managers and employees relative to general HR inquiries.

  • May liaise with employees to resolve benefit and payroll related issues.

  • May assist OCA Benefits with open enrollment and wellness initiatives.

Job Requirements::

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience may be substituted for degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years HR experience; medical manufacturing environment is preferred; ​PHR is preferred

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough knowledge of benefits laws and regulations including ERISA, COBRA and HIPPA.

  • Thorough knowledge of payroll process and procedures.

  • Thorough knowledge of recruiting objectives and process.

  • Thorough knowledge of compensation or HRIS objectives and process.

  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, ADP EZLabor, Interviews, ER Investigations.

  • Professional demeanour with the ability to be able to effectively communicate with and resolve issues for employees at all levels throughout the organization.

  • Ability to shift priorities quickly.

  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.

  • Proven customer focus and skill at handling stressful issues in a courteous, professional manner.

  • Comfortable and adept at interacting with employees at all levels of the company.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, lead projects and work independently.

The Senior Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for HR related program administration and support for all employees at a particular location (regardless of business group) and in some cases field based employees. The incumbent oversees several Human Resource services to ensure they are properly administered and serves as a front line resource relative to employee inquiries regarding HR programs and procedures. In addition, he/she interfaces directly with the Corporate HR Staff on various human resources and payroll related issues and initiatives.
