A typical day for you will include:
Adhering to policy and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Completing tasks in resourceful and effective ways while adhering to production plan schedules while producing high quality products to standards.
Working on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
Understanding implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
Determining methods and procedures on new assignments where no standard processes been established.
Acting as an informal team leader.
Acting as a champion of the company’s Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
Completing work orders on schedule to ensure a constant flow of finished product to support customer service levels.
Advising management of adverse manufacturing and/or equipment conditions and issues that are affecting production and /or safety.
Preparing and properly storing test certifications.
Properly identifying typical and atypical failure modes and participate in Root Cause Analysis activities.
Reporting nonconforming product and material following company policies (NCM creation) and established work area procedures.
Establishing wired electrical connections and install specified tuning components into assemblies (hand soldering).
Operating machinery and precision measurement equipment used in the production of ultrasound transducers.
Identifying overdue or potentially overdue work orders and alert managers.
Adhering to all established health and safety rules.
Constantly reviewing current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Recommend changes to eliminate waste and to promote cost reductions without sacrificing quality.
Identify and report all adverse conditions of the facility to management.
Acting as the liaison to Manufacturing Operations Evaluation of performance will be based on ability to: Produce quality products in accordance to standards.
Improving on established standard times for standard operations.
Following all applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation.
Following work order activities established via manufacturing reports.
Accurately recording labor time to all work order operations into the MRP system.
Cleaning and maintaining equipment (including tools and fixtures).
Participating in the company’s Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
Maintaining work area 5s standards.
Working with Team members with mutual respect and understanding.

High School Degree or Equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
Experience working with Manual lathes, Mills and Presses.
Good manual dexterity.
Computer skills and literacy.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Enjoy contributing to a diverse manufacturing group.
Ability to embrace change and be a team player.
Highly organized, self-managed individual who works with minimum supervision and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to lift 20 pounds.

The Production Test Technician IV will perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. The incumbent will follow methods and procedures from drawings, diagrams and test plans. He/She may complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. The incumbent will prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. He/She will assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
