Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics. Higher levels of education (MS/PhD) with less experience will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment; experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
Hands-on skills and experience with manufacturing processes, systems and tools.
Result-oriented change agent who demonstrates an analytical approach to problem solving.
Exemplary interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate at all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing individual goals.
Project management skills and experience.
Understanding of product life cycle management systems.
Strong understanding of electromechanical design and acoustics experience with acoustical testing methods.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously is desired.
Hands on experience & knowledge of oscilloscopes for debugging/testing of ultrasonic transducers.
Knowledge of piezoelectric materials and properties is a plus.
Desire to learn or familiarity with ultrasonic transducer characterization.

As an Acoustics Engineer II, working on the Transducer Production Engineering Team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by, creating manufacturing and test processes, identifying new cutting edge technologies to improve our manufacturing processes, and eliminating root cause of failures in transducer manufacturing. A typical day for you will include working in cross functional teams to reduce scrap, labor costs and rework, providing support to the production floor as needed and identifying root cause of failures.
A typical day for you will include:
Sustainment of released products to achieve highest levels of quality, reliability and on time delivery.
Creation of manufacturing, production and test processes, tools and fixtures.
Continuous improvement of products and processes to reduce manufacturing costs and increase quality.
Control and documentation of manufacturing and production processes.
Leadership and support of the company’s Lean and Continuous Improvement program.
Elimination of costs of non-Quality: scrap, rework and warranty repairs.
Spotting failure trends and work with technicians and other engineers to implement corrective actions to lower overall failure rates.
Identifying and qualifying new materials/equipment used in production as they reach the end of their life cycle.
Performing all other essential duties as assigned.

The Acoustics Engineer II, Transducers will take on day to day challenges of a fast- paced manufacturing environment while achieving schedule objectives. The incumbent will work closely with other engineers and test technicians to identify and eliminate root cause of failures in transducer manufacturing. He/She will interact with multiple parts of the business and will be looked to aid with lowering manufacturing costs by eliminating scrap, rework and warranty charges.
