Olympus America Inc. QA Technician I in Richmond Hill, Ontario

Job Duties::

  • Capturing 10% of final inspection to sample the quality of repairs using established quality processes and systems procedures for volume and service monitoring, including trend analysis and forecasting.

  • Analyzing, summarizing, and presenting data in formats that fulfill a variety of internal and external requirements.

  • Performing various internal audits and reviews as assigned; identifying quality assurance concerns and providing recommendations for addressing those concerns.

  • Monitoring, analyzes, and reports problem areas and identifies solutions to address areas of concerns.

  • Coordinating Change Notices (CNs), Non Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPAs), and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) in a timely manner, to close and/or achieve acceptable levels of compliance.

  • Investigating and reporting weekly on discrepant material notices (DMNs).

  • Exhibiting all corporate and divisional expectations of people leaders to include, but not be limited to developing employees, managing employee performance/engagement, promoting continuous improvement, managing department business/communications, driving organization alignment, selecting/retaining talent, and consistently modeling excellence, integrity, and accountability.

  • Performing all other essential duties as directed.

Job Requirements::

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in technical repairs is required, preferably in mechanical or electronic equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Repair experience in the medical or health care industry.

  • Well-organized, analytical, logical, practical.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong personnel management skills, with a demonstrated track record of growing personnel.

Under the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Technicians is responsible for supporting the service standards and audits, continuous quality improvement, and supporting plans to meet quality assurance objectives and key performance indicators. The incumbent ensures compliance with services quality policies. He/She shall evaluate, troubleshoot, disassemble, assemble, repair and/or inspect Endoscopes, to assure repair meets quality standards. The incumbent uses a variety of small hand tools and test equipment to make repairs and facilitate disassembly and reassembly. He/She will complete and maintain accurate service records.
