Job Requirements::

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, such as ME, EE or CS. MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of practical engineering experience is required; minimum of 5 years of successful program management experience and medical device industry experience is a plus.

  • Ability to travel sign

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP certification is a plus.

  • Experience with video is a plus.

  • FDA 21 CFR 820.30 (design controls) ISO 14971.

  • Risk Management skills are essential.

  • Experience managing major programs while fostering a team based working environment.

  • Excellent planning and organizational, project management and time management skills.

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of the FDA's Quality System Regulation (QSR), Medical Device Directives (MDD) and practical application through Design Control SOPs and Verification and Validation testing.

  • Ability to manage multiple project releases at a given time.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit is necessary.

Job Duties::

As a Program Manager, Global Innovation working on the Olympus Global Competency Center for System Integration team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by working with world thought leaders inside our customer community, regional SBC's, GCC Marketing and GCC R&D. A typical day for you will include:

  • Managing and guiding the development program from preliminary requirements to commercial release.

  • Interfacing directly with customers to extract and clarify user requirements.

  • Providing leadership to coordinate & manage cross functional efforts, identify risks and focus priorities escalating resource conflicts as necessary.

  • Applying program management techniques to ensure technical, financial, and schedule successes.

  • Developing and maintaining program priorities, and development goals.

  • Working closely with senior management to establish and achieve project milestones.

  • Managing and coordinating efforts with marketing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory, and other internal organizations.

  • Managing ongoing innovation projects with collaboration partners and facilities; driving clinical initiatives around innovation projects across global markets (OCA, OEKG, OT, OCAP, OCN); managing initiatives and projects with innovation partner facilities to drive to completion with the results impacting global SI’s impact to achieve goals toward GCC strategy.

The Global Innovation Program Manager is responsible for managing the activities of a global development program that has significant impact on core & new business development. The incumbent should have a working knowledge of product development life cycles especially as they relate to the Agile or Iterative methods. He/She is expected to manage the overall development and performance of projects within the program. The incumbent will be accountable for overall project results, developing metrics, and generating the detailed program plan/schedule while managing program resources, and monitoring and managing risks. He/She will interface directly with customer sites to establish system requirements and in order to guide the efforts of product development.
