Olympus America Inc. Material Handler in Littleton, Massachusetts
As a Material Handler working on the Material Control Team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by being conscientious, a team player, and reliable. A typical day for you will include:
Receiving incoming material, verify accuracy of order received per the purchase order and inspect for physical damage.
Completing proper transactions in the business system.
Putting away materials in appropriate inventory bin locations in the warehouse or in production.
Completing proper inventory management transactions in the business system.
Completing material issue transactions in the business system.
Performing weekly inventory cycle counts.
Reporting inaccuracies to supervisor for appropriate investigation and adjustments.
Selecting product from pick tickets to complete customer orders, assemble and check items per bill of materials.
Packing product as specified on BOM when applicable.
Using judgement to select proper packaging methods to protect product from transit damage when none are specified.
Labeling shipping packages with appropriate identification and shipping information.
Completing sales order fulfillment transactions in the business systems for items shipped.

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Experience with computer ERP systems and inventory transactions.
Experience with NetSuite ERP.
Ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and solutions to job specific issues.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
