Job Duties::

As a Continuous Improvement Manager working as part of our manufacturing team, you will be inspired and empowered to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission as the champion of our continuous improvement activities in lean manufacturing, supply chain, and new product development. A typical day for you will include:

  • Leading continuous improvements efforts in products, processes and practices related to manufacturing, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, sustaining engineering and new product introduction activities.

  • Directing the development and improvement of production processes and procedures by applying knowledge of product design, materials, tools, equipment and assembly methods to meet productivity, quality and cost objectives.

  • Managing improvements to manufacturing efficiency by using lean methodologies to analyse and plan workflow, space requirements and work cell layout.

*Collaborating with Design Engineering to properly structure bills of material and individual component design to maximize production efficiency both in-house and with suppliers, reduce cost, minimize inventory and leverage common components.

  • Serving as primary contact with both domestic and international suppliers as well as offshore company manufacturing sites regarding design and manufacturing process transfer, production volume scale up, technical, documentation, manufacturability, and quality issues.

  • Managing the manufacturing engineering requirements of the ISM manufacturing operations group as a member of new product production teams.

  • Managing the creation and implementation of ECOs effecting ISM and supplier production and sustaining engineering activities.

Job Requirements::

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical technology or similar industry manufacturing Leadership experience in new product introduction, design and manufacturing transfer to contract manufacturers and offshore corporate manufacturing locations.

  • Ability to travel occasionally, including possible international travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820 quality management systems.

  • Excellent analytical and planning skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Self-organized, self-motivated.
