Job Description:

Bartlett, TN - The Endoscope Technician must understand and accept the responsibility to ensure the safety of all Olympus products that are repaired, by following established processes and procedures. The incumbent shall evaluate, troubleshoot, disassemble, assemble, repair and/or inspect Endoscopes to assure proper function. He/She uses a variety of small hand tools and test equipment to make repairs and facilitate disassembly and reassembly. The incumbent will complete and maintain accurate service records both electronically and manually. He/She will ensure that safe work practices are employed by observing guidelines established or enforced by Olympus. The incumbent may be assigned to support business needs by working in other areas outside their primary responsibility. He/She will proactively participate in the quality systems, quality improvement and \"5S\" programs as directed by their Shift Supervisor. The incumbent will maintain confidentiality of documents and processes. He/She must accomplish these objectives while maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment. The incumbent will be expected to maintain acceptable standards for attendance and punctuality, and as a condition of employment, work overtime as needed.

Job Requirements::

(ONLY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience at the Associate Endoscope Technician level is required; or ability to demonstrate previous repair experience with Olympus endoscopes is required.

  • Must be able to demonstrate skill in Endoscope disassembly, assembly, repair, final inspection or equivalent in precision repair activity while maintaining productivity, quality and attendance standards.

  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools (such as screwdrivers, electric screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers).

  • Experience or ability to work with microscopes, test equipment (such as light sources, video processors, mega ohm testers) and hand soldering is essential.

  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) are necessary.

  • Ability to read and follow manuals, work instructions, job standards and related information is a must.

  • Must possess basic computer skills (including keyboard and mouse skills).

  • Must be customer focused/oriented.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain acceptable levels of quality and productivity as acquired through technical training and must demonstrate aptitude within a designated skill set.

  • Ability to require instructions only on new assignments is essential.
